- The bell jar, made of quality PVC material, can be used in sound propagation experiments. Thanks to its transparency, it allows observation during experiments, and thanks to its lightness, it can be carried easily and allows experiments to be carried out in different environments.
- A buzzer mounted on a covered battery holder is offered with the product. The 2 AA batteries required for its operation will be provided by the user. You can also experiment with sound generators such as mobile phones, battery radios, bells, etc.
Set Content:
- Multi-purpose PVC bell jar
- Buzzer mounted on a covered battery compartment
- Air motor (pump)
- Connection hose
- Oil
Application 1 (Experiment on sound transmission in an airless environment):
- Place the sound generator (buzzer, etc.) inside the bell jar and turn it on, close the bell jar.
- Remove the air inside the bell jar with the help of the pump provided with the product.
- Although the buzzer is making noise, the sound heard will gradually decrease.
- Close the valve to prevent air ingress. Observe what happens.
- Open the valve and allow air in. The sound will be heard again.
Application 2 (Boiling of water at low pressure experiment):
- Put a glass of boiling water into the bell jar and close the bell jar.
- Take the air out of the bell jar with the help of the pump supplied with the product.
- Close the valve to prevent air entry.
- You will see that the water in the glass is boiling.
